The Matt Penn Initiative is working in partnership with Bare Necessities to donate my book 'Recovery is possible: An Addicts Story' to the Homeless & other disadvantaged people in the city of Cambridge. The books will be provided at cost and distributed to services users through non-profits and social care centres in the city.
This will ensure that there is the potential for follow-up with the reader. The objective is to plant the 'seed' that 'recovery is possible' and to help the individual consider the underlying cause of their addiction.
This message is powerful and the seed will be planted so when the conditions are right, there is hope it will take root and lead to the start of the journey to recovery.
